What is Vibrational Medicine?

Vibrational Medicine
Healing Mind, Body and Spirit

The law of nature that states nothing is solid, everything has a vibration. Everything is made up of atoms and quantum physics tells us that all atoms are behaving as both a wave and a particle as they are in constant motion. These atoms appear as a solid, liquid, or gas depending on their speed, but ultimately everything is made up of vibration or energy.

What is Vibrational Medicine?

Our body is composed of energy pathways (called nadi’s in Ayurvedic science or meridians in Chinese medicine) and energy centres (Chakra’s), that are in constant communication with our cells, organs, and brain.

Vibrational medicine (VM) works by re-balancing the minute vibrational frequencies that make up the energy field within the atoms, molecules, organs and systems within the body. When parts of the body become stressed or dis-eased, they are no longer vibrating at their prime (optimal) resonant frequency. To re-establish or re-calibrate your frequency, you need to alter the surrounding vibration (higher or lower) so the body may resonate with it and re-calibrate itself.

VM works by stimulating these energy pathways with a variety of techniques, which shifts the physical, mental and emotional states or habit which develop when states are repeated over time.

What is a habit?

Habits are subconscious behaviours that are repeated regularly. Our habits are made up of unconscious physical mental and psychological, patterns i.e. thoughts, feelings or behaviours that seem to be almost involuntary.

Habits are often learned responses to triggers or events that when repeated often over time becomes automatic unless questioned. Habits can also become obsessive, compulsive or addictive in nature. Energy medicine helps to shift these habits or patterns and release the unconscious link.

Energy Psychology & Brainwaves

The brain has different levels of consciousness, ranging from fully alert through drowsy and fully asleep, with variations in between. These brain states can be measured by EEG tracking brainwaves from high frequency to low frequency:

Beta: (14-30Hz) Normal awake state when we are active and alert. Faster frequencies are associated with emotional states from stress through to anxiety states.

Alpha: (9-11 Hz) Associated with calm relaxed but alert states occurring naturally in everyday life.

Theta: (4-8Hz) Associated with deep relaxation, creativity, deep meditation, hypnosis and healing. Also occurs during REM sleep.

Delta: (1-3 Hz) Sleep, deep physical relaxation and rejuvenation.

During a healing session the therapist encourages the client to relax and uses frequencies to induce a relaxed state spanning from alpha through to theta states. Shaman’s have been using drumming at a rhythm of 4 beats per minute (theta state) for thousands of years before scientists discovered theta brainwave synchronised states.

Healing occurs in Theta brain state. Theta is a dream-like state and is a very healing frequency that stimulates the release of Endorphins.

If you can shift these energies you can alter your physical health, emotional attitude, and state of mind…
Is there any research?

There are over 82 energy psychology studies published, 43 random controlled trials, with 98% of them showing the methods are effective. With 4 meta-analysis studies which looks across a range of research that support efficacy. Energy coming out from the hands in healing is detected as 2.1 GHZ.

What is involved in a session?

You may want a session for a particular reason – a physical ailment, mental block, or emotional pattern. You may just feel out of sorts, not quite right, tired, and sensitive or run down. You may simply be curious or want to learn about energy healing or spiritual development.

We will discuss what you want, expect or would lie the outcome to be and I will answer any questions you have. I work collaboratively with my clients – healing is a co-creation.

Healing is about balancing the body mind and spirit which may or may not have the effect of releasing a physical symptom. The healer is merely a channel from the universal energy system to the client. The clients own body intelligence does the healing as it sees fit – I am there to listen and follow direction intuitively.

The client usually rests the massage table and I place my hands either on or over the body. Often I’m guided intuitively as to where. I use a number of vibrational therapies (items which can enhance, absorb or attract vibration or energy. Such as:

Aura soma – a beautiful collection of coloured bottles containing essences – clients chose 3 of them at the beginning of the session.

Crystals – either you will be attracted to one or more or I will chose to place them on or around you

Sound – music will be played – brainwave alpha-theta relaxing music. Sometimes I use Tibetan bowls, Chakra chimes, chanting or drumming if more sound is needed.

Smudging with sage or other herbs to cleanse

Visualisations, affirmations, journeying, or other practices and processes may be discussed as a healing aid to do in between sessions.

Usually there is not much talking during the session but clients are welcome to tell me what you are experiencing, or ask me what I’m doing if it helps you either during or after the healing.

Buddha Nature: Ocean waves

  1. Everything changes

The constant nature of change exhibits itself more profoundly in the ocean. While storms may visit, they never last, and calm waters will triumph once more.

“No man can ever step in the same river twice for it’s not the same river and he is not the same man.” ~ Heraclitus

  1. Living fully means taking risks; but choose wisely

If you choose to enter the ocean you take a risk. Surfers strategically pick and choose the best waves. Swimmers chose the calmest beaches. If you don’t take risks, you will never get the ride of your life. Staying safe on the shore may feel comfortable, but you’ll miss out on the fun.

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn

  1. Patience and persistence

Water flows and because it is persistent in its efforts over time, it can cut through the strongest of rocks, smoothing their hard surfaces. Water does not apply force; it applies persistence over time.

“A river cuts through rock not because of its power but because of its persistence.” – Jim Watkins

  1. Calmness brings clarity

When ocean waves are churning up the sand and debris it’s hard to see anything. On a calm day the waters are crystal clear. Your mind is like this water when it is agitated it becomes difficult to see. If you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.

“Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself?” Tao Te Ching

  1. We are all connected

The vast ocean can’t exist without each particle of water. Rain falls and flows into streams and rivers which flow into the ocean. Each wave emerges from the ocean and retreats into the ocean. Each of us are part of humanity. We are all one small part of the greater whole.

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”― Brené Brown

What wisdom do you receive from the ocean?
